Titleist golf ball loyalist Paul Broadhurst (Pro V1) birdied the par-5 18th at Pebble Beach to win the PGA TOUR Champions' Nature Valley First Tee Open.
Broadhurst, who won the Senior British Open at Carnoustie in July for his first victory on the 50-and-over tour, finished with a 4-under-par 68 en route to an 11-under-par 204 victory total.
“I knew I needed to birdie the last to avoid a playoff," said the Englishman after the win. "Probably hit two of the best shots I've ever hit up 18. Perfect tee shot and a really good utility into the green just on the front edge. I managed to two-putt from 30 feet, so yeah, absolutely delighted."
Broadhurst finished one shot clear of fellow Titleist golf ball loyalists Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) and Kevin Sutherland (Pro V1x) as each of the top three finishers relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
Langer birdied the last hole for a 66, and Sutherland birdied the final two holes for a final round 70.
