While I have never aced a par 3, nor have I come close to shooting par, I do have a great golf shot in my books. In Virginia Beach, VA at the Ocean View golf course on the 3rd hole par 5, I hit a decent drive to the left side of the fairway. Looking at a second shot from 175yds out, I decided to pull my Titleist AP2 7 iron out and nestle it down to a shiny Pro V1x. With the pin in the back, I took a smooth swing that sent that ball dead aimed to the back pin. With a couple of hops and just the right amount of roll, my friend and I watched as the ball disappeared right into the cup. While I know the elusive double eagle is more rare than a hole in one, I still yearn for an ace. I guess that is what keeps me coming back for more!
