I wasnt even going to play golf yesterday, but I wanted to get out of the house. I teed off at 2:30 at San Luis Rey Downs GC in Bonsall, CA just hoping to finish the round. I was playing solo, but was joined by a lefty named Phil (not Mickelson) soon after. Phil was talking about stopping after 9 holes, but my birdies on holes 8 and 9 convinced him to keep playing. When we got to the 13th tee, Phil said he couldnt keep a good single swing-thought in his head. I told him "Think of the nicest course you've ever played and your best shot that day." He replied- " That was 25 years ago!" I followed my own advice and teed up a Titleist Velocity with a 7 Wood in hand for the 172 yard shot into a 20mph wind. The ball flew straight as an arrow at the green, took 2 hops and disappeared into the cup! What a rush of adrenaline as I plucked that ball from the hole, realizing I finally had my hole in one after 14 years of trying. Thanks Titleist!
