I made my first hole in one in a tournament 12 years ago and was fortunate to be in the skins game to bring home some cash and finish in the top 10 in the championship flight. 12 years and 2 kids later, my practice time has drastically decreased but I still enjoy getting out to play with my buddies and my daughter and son. I played a tournament today at Eagles Crossing Golf Club in Carlisle, PA. I came to the number 3 hole which was 150 yards with a very firm green, surrounded by a pond on the backside. I pulled my Titleist AP1 Pitching Wedge and nailed my Titleist Pro V1 nice and pure...high straight all over the flag. Hit the green, one hop, and into the hole. It has been 12 years since the first one and the second one is just as sweet...the feeling of pulling the ball from the hole never gets old! As a bonus, my regular golf buddies got to witness it, making for a very special day.
