Golf with Dad

My dad is a vet of three wars; II, Korea, and Vietnam. We didn't start playing golf together until I became an adult. Today, he is 87 years old and we play at least once a month together. I got to know my dad much better and enjoyed his company much more because of time we've spent, on only on the golf course, but the drive to and from, and the breakfasts and lunches before and after the game. I'm not the best player but I love the sport. And my dad still hits them straight and can hit the ball twice his age. Last year he broke his shoulder while working in his yard. I convinced him not to stop playing, so for months he regularly walked 9 holes and played with one arm. Now he's fully recovered and giving me a run for my money. Golfing with dad is a joy.
