I have played a Titleist golf ball on and off my entire life. I started playing the Tour Balata when I was in high school on the golf team (1996-1999). My parents purchased the golf balls for me and everytime I needed more my father would say "I bet when you start paying for your own golf balls you will play a cheaper ball." I went to college, fell in love and slowly stopped playing the game for a few years. I had ACL, MCL and Meniscus surgery a few years ago and sitting at home watching the great golf coverage gave me the itch again. I dug out the golf clubs and heading to Dicks Sporting Goods to pick up my trusty Titleist Tour Balatas. To my dismay I was informed that "they have not made those balls in years" I tried other balls. Now over 11 years later I still rely on my beloved Titleist golf balls. When I play with my Dad we constantly remark that now that I am purchasing my own golf balls I still play the best. He thought that I would buy a cheaper ball but I play one that I trust and know. Just yesterday I played a round with my brother, dad and another friend. I was enjoying the round and having fun and my brother (who has beat me once) says he is up 4 after the front 9. No panic but I need to play lights out. I reach into my bag for a brand new ball and remove a Titleist Pro V1x. I shot a 3 under 33 with 12 putts (one 3 putt for bogey on #9) and we tie. I still retain my 1 loss record. Would it have been possible with another ball? I know the faith and confidence that Titleist provides will always be with me and that's why I trust Titleist when it counts!
