Watson, Garnett, Ji, Stricker and Cao Lead 5-Win Week for Titleist Players

The winning momentum continued around the globe for Titleist this week, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists added five more victories to the Titleist worldwide tour win count.

Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 45 victories across the worldwide professional tours, more than five times the nearest competitor with eight.

To date this season, the game's finest players have relied on a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball 6,290 times, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 846 and more than all competitors combined.

Leading the way this week, Titleist golf ball loyalist Bubba Watson (Pro V1x) captured the 11th victory of his career, topping Kevin Kisner (Pro V1) 7 and 6 at the WGC - Dell Match Play.

The win was the 11th of Watson’s career, which includes two Masters Green Jackets and another World Golf Championship victory (2015 WGC - HSBC Champions), all with a Titleist golf ball.

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the WGC - Dell Match Play with 69% of players in the elite field of 64 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 16% and more than all competitors combined.

 Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrid (12) and irons (19) categories. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (75) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in putters (24).

The PGA Tour also staged an opposite-field event in the Dominican Republic this week, where Titleist golf ball loyalist Brice Garnett (Pro V1) completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Corales Puntacana Championship, closing with a 2-under-par 70 in windy and rainy conditions for his first career PGA Tour title.

Garnett, who won twice on the Web.com Tour last season, finished four shots clear of fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Keith Mitchell (Pro V1).

Opening with a blistering 9-under 63 and finishing with an 18-under 270 victory total, Garnett topped a leaderboard that included nine Titleist players among the 12 who finished in the top 10 and ties.

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. One-hundred-five players trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball at Corales Golf Club, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 13 and more than all competitors combined.

 Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrid (24) and irons (37) categories. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (170) category and Scotty Cameron putters tied as this week's most trusted putters (48).

On the LPGA Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Eun Hee Ji (Pro V1x) captured the KIA Classic, topping a leaderboard that included each of the top nine finishers trusting Titleist golf balls for their success.

Ji closed with a pair of 5-under par 67’s en route to a 16-under 272 victory total.

 Titleist golf ball loyalist Cristie Kerr (Pro V1) and Lizette Salas (Pro V1x) tied for 2nd place, two shots back.

Titleist was the top choice in golf balls at the Kia Classic with more than 4 of every 5 players (116) trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 16.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Steve Stricker (Pro V1x) earned his second consecutive PGA Tour Champions title, closing with a 4-under-par 68 to win the Rapiscan Systems Classic by three shots over Billy Andrade (Pro V1).

Stricker finished with an 11-under 205 victory total.

Stricker, who captured the Cologuard Classic three weeks ago, has recorded seven top-three finishes in nine career senior starts. In addition to the two victories, he tied for second last month in his first PGA Tour Champions start of the year.

 Gene Sauers (Pro V1), Scott Parel (Pro V1x), Jesper Parnevik (Pro V1) and David McKenzie (Pro V1) tied for 3rd place at 7-under, as each of the six players who finished among the top three and ties trust Titleist golf balls for their success.

Titleist was the top choice in golf balls at the Rapiscan Systems Classic with nearly 3 of every 4 players (58) trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 10.

Entering the final round eight shots behind the overnight leader, Titleist Brand Ambassador Yi Cao (Pro V1x) rallied to capture the Chongqing Championship on the first hole of a sudden death playoff with Titleist golf ball loyalist William Harrold (Pro V1).

Cao closed with a bogey-free 9-under-par 63 to set the clubhouse lead and then birdied the first extra hole to earn his first career PGA Tour China crown.

Both Cao and Harrold finished regulation at 14-under-par 274, three shots clear of two players, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Max MacCardle (Pro V1x).

Nine of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
