Let's give Adam Scott a big cheer not call him a choker

    It never ceases to amaze me how cruel people can be to our elite athletes, not to mention our golfers.

    Point in case, Adam Scott's demise in the final round of The Open. Some tabloids have been claiming it to be the worst choke since the 96 Masters.

    I for one, wish that the public would celebrate Adam's fantastic effort over 68 holes rather than concentrate on his final four holes.

    I have had the honour to spend some time with Adam on the golf course, completing a charity fundraiser event over 100 holes of Marathon Golf for the Adam Scott Foundation. 

    The manner in which he accepted defeat does not surprise me. He is a true gentleman both on and off the course.

    I'm hoping that Adam doesn't let this misfortune get him down for too long. In fact, I'm backing him to do a Rory McIlroy, and bounce back with a win in the next major, the US PGA.

    Let's all get behind him at Team Titleist, he did us all proud!

    I believe the same as Mark. Adam is an incredible golfer.  We all play bad some times so I think adam played incredible.

    Adam Scott is not driven by winning majors. Adam uses golf as a vehicle to achieve the other important things in his life, self worth, a sense of community, a comfortable enjoyable life style, playing golf to compete, not dominate. I think Adam is an exceptional athlete a champion golfer and an excellent role model for any kid wishing to make a career out of golf..

    Let's see all those naysayers jump on the Adam Scott bandwagon now!

    Well done Scotty on your consecutive jacket wins - Aussie Masters and US Masters.

    *Message to Titleist - now there's a bit more endorsement cash floating around thanks to the departure of Rory and Co.,

    I suggest you lock up Adam to a long-term deal. Now that he's got one under his belt, let's see them try and stop him.

    You couldn't get a better ambassador than Scotty!
