I am a member of team Titleist on Facebook. Many people share what they receive or have TT merchandises. Especially, the hole in one bag tag. Never heard anyone in Australia received any hole in one bag tag here. Look at the recent hole-in-one story in Team Titleist Australia. The latest one is in 2015. It is 2020. I did my hole in one last year and wrote my story, registered the bag tag. No update, no reply at all. In US, there are many supports for members but here in Australia is nothing. Many people in here want to get some TT bag tag or something else, right?? I wonder if we are Team Titleist member or not. If Titleist Australia doesn't work or support us, what is the point to join the team Titleist.

Thanks for your perspective Moon and maybe Titleist Australia has a way for you to get "stuff" in the future. Since you asked "what's the point of joining Team Titleist?" here is my answer. You may not like it so sorry if that is the case. The point of being a Team Titleist member is to be part of a community, a family. To get the opportunity to share stories, experiences, advise, or even a few laughs. Occasionally even come together for a face to face meeting during a golf event. Yes, if you are on Facebook you will see that many folks are posting pictures of equipment they buy and even the occasional gift given during events or received through a sweepstakes. That's all in good but the majority of TT members participate for the comradery, not the merchandise. Also, congrats on the Ace, a rare feat indeed.

    Hi Dale,
I've just missed out on some TT alignment stick covers in a sweep draw which is fine, but I then found out you could buy them in US, but only have them delivered to a US address. Why is it when any merchandise is made available to buy it is only in the US, do the rest of the world not matter!! You say we are part of a community and some of us we want to SHOW we are by having these special items, but we cant.

PS Moon, congrates pal on the Ace, I've had one but too long ago to register it so not sure I'll get a tag now either, unless the golfing gods help me again!!

Since you asked, I will try my best to give you my perspective. First, since I do not own or work for the Acushnet company, I do not have any effluence in the marketing decisions they make, I just give my opinion as to why they might do what they do. I believe their primary focus is on their main lines of business (balls and clubs). The other merchandise is more of a support business to enhance their product lines. Limited manufactured items like special release versions have small profit margins therefore shipping costs and tariffs might be higher than the profit associated with the item. In those cases, the company sometimes ships items to a local TT representative to make available within their jurisdictions. The primary model for Titleist sales is to support the golf course pro shops. They want golf clubs to profit from sales so clubs can special order items or get limited quantity stock for their club. That model does not support large inventory in warehouses which world-wide distribution or on-line sales. Okay, it was a very long answer but I do not feel anyone at Titleist or within the TT community feels like this is a USA-only place and that as you say "the rest of the world does not matter". If they did, there would not be separate sections on this site to focus on your area or even the ability for anyone outside the US to join. Maybe someday the merchandise system will change but until then, it is what it is and does not detract from the desire to maximize the entire forum for social benefit and equality in opinion and prominence.
  5. HI Dale,

I understand you point and I had this discussion with the customer rep in Aus about the not being able to order customised order (ie printed balls) from the US Titleist site and have them delivered outside of the US.

It is a old company model with Australia and NZ and other areas set up as wholesale business distributing to PGA Shops and stores. As such they only order from the parent company what they forecast they are going to sell in that quarter or half year. Which is fine, I speak to my PGA pro and he orders it in if he doesn't have it, and I am happy with that. But in the age we live in now with the ability to order online and have goods delivered from across to world, I don't agree that I miss out on being able to purchase 1 dozen customised labelled golf balls or alignment stick covers because I am in Australia and not the US, let me pay the freight charges.

It will become more of a case that people are reselling equipment and merchandise through ebay and amazon because Acushnet are still in the 1950's paradigm of sales, distributing and wholesaling goods.

It seems ludicrous that a worldwide company is so US centric. Considering how much money Aussies & Kiwis spend on Titleist gear, we should at least have the same opportunity to buy custom gear.

Dale you are right on point as to why I joined Team Titleist site. Moon congrats on your Ace.
  8. I wonder if they are supporting international groups much anymore. I posted my ace story back in March (pre covid), and don't see it. Like moon said, the latest one is 2015. I also registered for the bag tag, but never received a confirmation message. I emailed cust service just to see what they said, and never heard back.

TT Merch is available down under although in limited quantities.
As Dale has highlighted above TT is more about group than the Merch.
Best way I have found to receive TT Merch is to attend a TT outing, not sure when next event is planned.

Being in lockdown, here in Victoria is tough, but the good thing is we get to watch lots of good golf from around the world. Looking forward to watching the Women play t Royal Troon this weekend coming. We have five Aissies in the field.

How can we down here get our hands on some TT merchandise?
    Stay safe cheers Nicky
  11. I added some thoughts on the other TT Merchandise thread...however when I return in August 2022 maybe we can get a TT Outing scheduled in Sydney which may allow some merchandise to be shared with everyone in addition to a fun day playing and talking golf.

    Cheers,
    Chris
