Right now is a tough time for Canadian golfers. We are in the heart of the winter, and with the PGA Tour back in action, it is a time of year where we miss golf the most. With that being said, how are you guys filling the void? I know a lot of people posted a little while back about indoor golf, hitting the gym and even going south to play. I was hoping to hear some updates. How is the off-season training going? How were the trips south? For me, things are going good. I have been practicing each week once or twice, and really making an effort to stay active and prepare myself for a great 2012 season. Doing a lot of work on my putting as well. How about the rest of "Team Titleist"??

I have built a practice range in my home... including a net and putting green. Got my new 712 MB's and SM4 wedges and working them out every night for 1-2 hours. Going to Myrtle Beach in Feb to use the new products. Would love some Team Titleist swag to proudly show my support while down in Myrtle Beach. Keep focused and support Titleist. Sean

It's been a great off season for me. I've kept myself busy hitting bucket after bucket of balls at my local indoor golf facility. I have a few more Titleist additions to my golf bag. Everything is all ready to go for what's a hoping to be a terrific season. With the PGA Tour and the Golf Fix starting up again I now have my fix of golf on TV. Couldn't ask for anything more ;)

This years two pronged approach seems to be working.  The TPI-based gym work appears to be paying off with improved balance and power as well as a stronger back - leading to less back pain.  At the indoor golf school/range there has been good progress with correcting two bad habits - the tendency to lay the club off early in the backswing and coming out of posture by straightening the rear leg at the start of the downswing.  At the range I am working principally with my "problem clubs" with the hope that not only will I improve my swing but also gain some confidence with the clubs that get me into the most trouble.!

    Great feedback Michael!

Our friend, Alex Riggs will be covering a lot of this in an upcoming blog.  Stay tuned!

    Thanks for the post!

After being fit into new 910 set with vokeys late 2011 I have been inside at golftown very regularily and swinging into this new year well with them ,also hit the extreme fitness gym regularily working with an instructor partly and primarily geared my training to core strengthening along with other complete stuff on a golfswing path . Cant wait to get outside and hit em.

Had some major health issues to take care of, but now I'm in week 5 of my TPI workouts and will be hitting the indoor range for a few sessions. Main thing is to take care of my back / SI joint problems. Working hard, but still a lot of pain there. I'm afraid Advil will still be in my bag for the year !!!

Doing some tuning up in the simulator, weekly kinesis and kettlebell work and just reading "How to feel a real golf swing". Always trying to improve and when it's cold out, it helps me keep my mind on the game I love! Getting the new cube of balls was a really nice reminder. Thank you!
