    Hi Ryon,

    Great question!

Serial numbers are placed on all irons when they are ordered 'custom'.  If there is a serial number on JUST the 6 irons then the irons were ordered in stock specs.

    We hope this helps!

He said that there is no serial number on the 6 iron does that mean they are fake? Or is there a chance that titleist didn't put serial numbers on their irons back in the 695 series?

    Hi Ryon,

Unless they are off the tour van...which would be rare, they should have a serial number on them...even as 695's.  Did he purchase them from an authorized dealer?

Would counterfeit ones feel different when they were hit? Cause he said when he hits his he says they feel fine. They feel like normal titleist irons.

    Hi Ryon,

We invest a tremendous amout of time and resources into the research, development and materials used in our golf club products.  If they are counterfeit, we feel strongly that they would look, feel and perform different.  If your friend did not purchase them through an authorized dealer then that greatly increases the chances that they are indeed counterfeit, however we can't say until the information is provided that was in the previous post.  Please review the previous post and follow the steps if you would like to confirm either way.

    Best of luck with everything!

    Cheers,

    Mitch D

My set oF 695MB did not have serial numbers on them, a few years back in Canada a lot of stock stuff didn't not have serial numbers in the clubs, the stuff that was assembled here in Canada was hit or miss if it had one or not. So there is no way to be sure where they came from but as long as they are legit then they are fine. No difference between tour or retail anyways for those.
