Hard to believe that we are going to be pushing 20 degrees in the first week of November in the Greater Toronto Area. I hope that we all get to squeek in a few extra rounds before its time to visit the Basement Golf and Country Club.

I just booked a day off to play today at my home course (Wildwinds in Fergus). I couldn't believe how nice it was out there! 20*, sunny and a light breeze...can't believe it's November. I'm hoping to squeeze in 9 holes after work both Wed and Thurs before cleaning the clubs for winter hibernation.

The weather is absolutely beautiful. Hard to believe it is November. Normally by now it is super cold and we have snow flakes threatening the area. As it stands right now, the long term forecast (if you can believe the weather man) calls for decent weather right through most of the month. One can only hope.

My course closed on the weekend but there are others that are still open so I do hope to get out and get in another round before the snow flies and I too am relegated to the BGCC :)

    Hi everyone,

Glad to hear that you are getting in a few more rounds with good weather. It is a bit strange playing golf this late in the year, and it had the same feeling for me too when I relocated to the Vancouver area and was able to play golf or hit balls through out the winter.

All the best for a productive and healthy off season!

Darius, I think last year you had started a thread on looking back on the golf year and talking about people's expectations, goals, etc. and how the year went. I found it helpful as it got me thinking about setting my goals for the upcoming year, etc. So... how was your year? Maybe we can kick off another discussion for the next month or so.

I'm in Richmond, just outside of Vancouver on the west coast. I can honestly say, I do not remember such warm weather and to have that warm weather for as long as we did this past summer. We were like Canada's answer to California this past year. I personally loved it.

I watched a documentary recently about the exploding numbers of dangerous Jellyfish taking over our fishing lanes around the world. Jellyfish seem to thrive in warmer waters, and now that the globe has a higher water temperature overall. Places that never experienced Jelly's in past decades, are now realizing their growing numbers.
