Well... I finally got on the course for opening day on May 1. Quite unbelievable - on the third hole we were tossing snow balls at each other, and by the time we were done it was a gorgeous 27 degree summer day. Still saw a bit of snow in places around the 17th tee blocks, but I have no doubt it is all gone now !
The game was a bit of a struggle as each of us tried to separate our winter fantasies on how far the ball will go as compared to reality. I guess Chris was right when he fitted me for my new 917 Driver at the National Fitting Centre... Even with the best technology I am not likely going to hit it 300 yds. I certainly improved over last year, but the 320 carry is simply not in the books for me :). The new AP3's did what they were supposed to do. Flew high and carried to their distance. Now I just need to work on getting back to a consistent swing.
It is great to be back chasing those pearls in the grass !!!!!!!!
