Putting is pretty much almost half my game. Like many others I am involved in the never ending pursuit of "it"... It can be frustrating when one day you have "it" and your putts drop from everywhere and then another day you can't get the feel for distance or line ! Worse yet - You sink everything on the practice green and then miss everything on the course. Where does "it" go ??? I am thinking that it is time to look for a new putter as I am tired of scoring in the low 80's with four three putts or chipping it close and missing a bunch of 3 footers. When it comes to putters there are so many choices. I currently have an older Select and a GOLO 5. Perhaps it is time to look at a Futura model... What's your go-to putter ? Blade or Mallet ????

Hey Darius, so being left handed my options are limited, but when Scotty released the NP2.5+ a couple of years ago I found the perfect fit, I guess it has more toe flow, I use to jump around between a NP2 and the X5 but now it is pretty consistent. I still have an X5.5 but I can't remember the last time I used it for a full round.

I have a GoLo3 and a Del Mar but have been back in a Newport 2 for the last 2 years. I was better at long putts with the GoLo but more accurate inside 10 feet with the Newport. I have tested some Phantoms but just can't go with one, even though they are highly successful on tour and in many amateurs bags. Great that Scotty has so many options for us to choose from. Something for everyone.

I have always been a blade putter just because that's the first kind of putter I purchased. Have a 2016 Newport 2 and a 2018 Squareback. I think the plumbers neck on the putter is what draws me to it. Just put the Squareback back in the bag. I was starting to get a little off on my alignment with the Newport and figured the deeper head might straighten it out a little. I'm open to trying out a mallet. The new Phantom 11 has me interested.

I know that feeling Darius, I have those rounds of having “it” and then not having “it”. I currently game a Newport 3. Like others have said being a lefty my options are slim when it comes to Scotty’s.

Putting has always been a never ending battle for me. Been using a Phantom X7 for a few years because I was loving the weight. Putting has improved and wanted more of a feel from the putter so I switched to the Newport 2 and it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Putts are dropping more frequent, lag putts are rolling super tight. Let’s hope this new found luck continues.

I played a White Hot 7H putter for 6 years (2009-2015). When my dad passed away, I got his golf set (Titleist 975 driver and fairway and Apex Plus irons with his Bullseye putter). I played the Bullseye for a year and then switched to an Odyssey 1H. Just before COVID I bought a Scotty Cameron Squareback. Just recently got rid of a TSR2 3 wood and SM9 60-04L; for an additional $40 got a Newport Select ($12 for a setup).

    I like blade putters.

    I switch between both. I have a 2017 Scotty Cameron Newport 2 and a 2019 Scotty Cameron Phantom X12.5.

Last year the Newport 2 was on fire for me, this year I went back to my X12.5 as I wasn't getting a good distance control feel from it. If its a course that I know will have fast greens I'll put the Newport 2 back in the bag.
  12. at the uk TT day they had a load of putters to try

really interested in the phantom... so will be looking at getting one of them!

I tried a number of putters out while at the TT Canada Invitational and I found my golden bullet. I bounced between the Fantoms and the Blades and ultimately settled on the Super Select 2 Squareback with the 38 inch shaft and long grip. The extended shaft counter balance really made the putter flow through the stroke. On order right now !!!!

Tried quite a few but I realized for me there is an arc so I went to a Newport 2 and never looked back.

Incredible putter. 1.7 putts average golf canada. 35". have a backup incase the original goes down. LOL
