I went to Spring Lakes for the new GT Metal's fitting and all have to say is O M G.

Matt Flickerwarren dialed me in on a string! Had me at average 287 yards with the GT3 driver and 253 with the GT3 3 metal without a tee. My dispersion was so small!!!!!!!!!

They feel really really nice and sounds great! I feel as though the head cuts through the air much more efficient than my current TSi. Going back to my TSi I do feel a bit of drag now.

The GT still has the classic Titleist look that I really like. The TSi 2 looked too big to my eye but now the GT I couldn't really tell the difference.

The new design at the bottom doesn't get dirt and grass caught up in the weight system which I love. I'm constantly cleaning the bottom of my TSi.

I think I am going to be switching to the new GT in the near future!

That is awesome Jason... We had the opportunity to try out the GT Metals while at the TT Invitational and I heard great reviews across the board. I saw gains as well, but unfortunately drives of 287 are just a dream for me. Like you - I did find the sound has changed in the new heads making the GT Metals sound powerful ! I also found the dispersion a little tighter than my TSR. Titleist surely put out a winner with this series !

Great to hear this! Did they give you any idea how quick you would get the GT if you placed an order right away? I know if you get fit and place an order sometimes you get it quite earlier than the advertised release date.

They said if I ordered it I would get it beginning to mid August.

I was lucky enough to get into the GT Metal fitting in Windsor yesterday. A big thank you to Titleist for putting this event on! It was really exciting to get such an early look at the the new drivers. Austin was really great, appreciate his help and direction to get me a more consistent result. Unfortunately my driver has been pretty wild lately but with a reasonably good swing on the suggested setup with the GT2 the dispersion is now super tight.

And as for the GT drivers... there were some very interesting moments. Definitely a more muted sound and a very consistent feel across the club face. Along with the consistent feel there are definitely more consistent results. I had some low heal strikes that produced a perfectly straight ball flight with only a very small increase in spin. Not sure how the engineers at Titleist accomplished this but it was really awesome to see.

GT2 is on order! Can't wait to get it on the course!

Thank you once again Titleist for putting on this event!

My work schedule is really messing with my fitting opportunities! Have missed two regional/local fitting events. Hopefully my local fitter will have the tools on hand soon. Can't wait to give them a go - have heard many great things!
  7. I'm anxiously awaiting mine. Was told same as above, once Aug 1 and the release hits, they "should" be shipping out! Was also at the stellar TT fitting event at Fox Harb'r at the beginning of July.

Was fit into a GT4 8*, and a GT3 - 3W, both with the Hzrdus Black shafts. Sooooo excited for the calendar to keep flipping so these bad boys can get in the bag!

I saw 4mph ball speed, and 12 yard total increase, with a tighter dispersion than my Cobra Darkspeed 8*, so definitely looking forward to having them in hand and hit some bombs!

I have watched 3 videos of people getting fit at the Titleist fit center, and it seems like they all were being told to loft up going from a 8* to 10 or 11* and shorten the shaft with stiffer flex.

To the people that were fit already was this your experience too?

It's sort of giving me deja vu to 2014 when the TM SLDR came out and they were telling everyone to loft up.

I was actually lofted down. I was fitted into a 9 degree head and the Surefit adapter was set to B3.

This is my summary, he gave me a stock option and an upgraded option. The upgraded shaft was so much more consistent and had a very very small dispersion.

I am staying with the same loft but just barely. Fitter and I had a long conversation about loft vs spin vs carry. New drivers are (general statement) spinning less and for some need more loft to generate an appropriate minimum amount of spin. Just reinforces the importance IMO of a trusted professional fitter - otherwise it is a bit of a guessing game.

Will get to try the GT woods this Saturday. Prior fitting was cancelled by the flooding of my club. We just re-opened this weekend

Definitely on my list to get fitted and see what these new metals can do for me. Was fitted for my current driver and 3 wood at Eagles Nest a couple years back and it made a massive difference. Been a huge game changer ever since. Great feedback from you all so it’s got me extra excited. Been golfing in PEI for the last few weeks so haven’t had a chance to get in

Had my fitting today with Chris. New GT 11.0 deg driver 13.5 deg wood and 21deg wood on the way. Love the new profile and results. As a loyal TT member, hope delivery is faster than standard.

    Lethbridge,

Had a fitting for the new GT Driver and Fairway Wood. The GT2 which I was fit for most certainly fit the bill. Spin down and distance increased over my TSR2. The feeling and sound was excellent. Interesting in the Fairway Wood I was fit for the GT3 15.0 degree. Previously I had a TSR2 Fairway Wood. Distance was increased and flight and trajectory fit the bill I was looking for. Simply put these new Woods are simply amazing and looking forward to getting them.

Fitting this week with Brayden showed gains in distance and dispersion with the GT3 15 fairway and the new edition Tensei Blue shaft compared to my TSi fairway.
