The event at Fox Harb’r was an absolute blast. I cannot say enough about the way we were treated right from when we checked in through to the closing dinner. The staff at the resort were also very accommodating. There is no doubt that the staff at Titleist had worked long and hard planning every detail to make the full 2 and a half days a memorable occasion for everyone.

On the day of arrival we got to meet up with some of the Titleist staff at check in and then I moved pretty quickly to the range to get fit for the new GT metals. Awesome clubs for sureâ€Ķ That evening we gathered on a patio overlooking the course and had a chipping competition hitting ProV1’s into the pond. Closet to the target won a free fitted wedge. Apparently if someone actually hit into a small target they would get a full set of wedges but that did not happen. Personally - after driving that morning and going through the fitting process, I almost got one ball into the pond :) We followed up the short game competition with a social and a nice buffet dinner overlooking the venue.

On the first full day, another group of TT Members got their turn at getting fit for the new GT Metals. Then we were paired up and played 18 holes in tournament play. The competition was net, and the winner came in at 2 under so no sandbaggers in the group ! Later that day we got together for a putting contest. The Titleist staff set up a really neat mini putt with a string layout. Roll outside the strings and you need to take a drop and a penalty :) The winner walked away with a Scotty Cameron Putter ! Alas - I did better than I did in the short game contest, but not well enoughâ€Ķ I did however manage to find that “Magic Putter” and have on on order right now ! This was followed by a great dinner at the Sporting Lodge where everyone enjoyed another buffet style meal, a lot of great conversation, some “refreshments” and I even saw some tossing horseshoes. At last a game where close actually countsâ€Ķ

The second full day started out nice despite the dreary forecast. The rest of the TT Members got their turn at fittings for the new GT Metals and we all headed out in new foursomes for a better ball tourney. It was nice to begin with, but in the end the East Coast threw her fury at us with winds and torrential rains. There was no hope once the greens had rivers flowing through them and the fairways had new ponds that were unmarked by red stakes. The play was halted but fortunately all the teams managed to get in nine holes to allow for a tournament winning team to be selected.

The closing banquet was awesome and the icing on the cake was that the sun came out long enough for us to get a group shot with all the TT Members along with the Titleist Staff members who put this all together. The background was some fairways along with the ocean . The foreground was 36 TT Participants, 7 Titleist Staff Members, and I am hoping all the smiles did not overload the aperture of the camera :)

I know I had an unforgettable experience. Even my wife who came along as a golf widow managed to amuse herself with some different spa treatments and got to watch the putting contest and interact with a number of staff and attendees.

I am sure I speak for all the TT Attendees when I offer my sincerest Thank You to all the TT staff members who worked in the forefront and in the background to make this occasion one to remember.

I am forever grateful for being able to participate in this eventâ€Ķ

Glad you enjoyed the experience. As one who got in last year's event Titleist does a great job. Can't wait to see where we go next year.

    Go Team titleist.

Sounds like it was another great event from TT Canada. I did not make the cut this year but hopefully will be there next year.

What I really hope is that the organization realizes that there is much more interest in these events than the low volume events held to date. I will head down to PGA Frisco to attend the US TT event again this year but truly hope that the capacity (and the sign-up format - the lottery is just plain frustrating and unique to Canada) is changed for years to come.

    Back to the Open!

That's an awesome review Darius! Looked like a great time. saw the trailer from Titleist on Instagram and really looked like something else. I know Chris was there fitting and he's awesome. I am unsure if Joe (the fitter I had was there) but I can only imagine. It is one I regretted going to but have far too many life problems on the go at the current moment!

Excellent review and images and the trailer looked stellar. I know it was a great week for it. nice and hot

    Hope your game is great

Wow!!! Very well written Darius. What an opportunity to be a part of. Fingers crossed one day I can be a part of this. Titleist always making sure they take care of their loyalists. Congrats on getting to go and experiencing such a memorable and monumental memory.

Hey Shawn... It is not an inexpensive experience as one does have to cover registration and travel costs, but if you like going out on a nice golf vacation this is a great way to meet a lot of similar minded golfers and get to meet the Titleist Staff who are normally behind the scenes. A number of those that attended made the trip extra special by adding a few days either before or afterwards to go and play Cabot Cliffs and other venues... My guess is that next year Titleist may travel out west... Lots of great venues out that way for a great gathering :)

Thank Darius for a great report. Sounds like a super time. Hopefully Titleist ventures out west for one of these event. Titleist is the best at looking after their customers and their products are always top drawer. Just talked to two of our pros who were fit for their new GT Drivers. They could not say enough about them. They called the drivers UNREAL.

My ultimate selection ended up being the 2024 Long Design Squareback 2 - 38"
I figure two weeks for delivery so I am hoping it comes in this week.
I was out today and had 21 putts on the front nine to come in 6 over. Fortunately something clicked and I only had 14 putts on the back nine so I managed to record a good round. Perhaps my existing putter heard me talking about it being relegated to the basement soon ???

    Hey Darius,

It was a pleasure to get to meet you out there and I hope you are enjoying that new putter! we should meet up for a round soon.

I want to echo what Darius has said. The event was world class. Titleist made each and every one of us feel like we were part of the family and fox harbour could not have been a better host for the event.

Meeting like minded Titleist nuts from around the country was the icing on the cake! I have already meet a few people for rounds of golf and made friendships that will last from the 3 day event.

Every morning was like Christmas morning with special surprises fun events beautiful golf and amazing hospitality and food.

The swag was great and the fitting was the best part. I got fit into the new driver with my EXATE same current shaft in the same current settings... tighter misses and I picked up 5 miles of ball speed .. it is a true winner

Thank Again Titleist and hope that you are doing well Der!
  15. Agree with everything Darius said! What an unbelievable experience, I was one of the fortunates who went a little early and stayed/played at Cabot for a few days prior as well.

All in all just a fabulous experience. They certainly knew what they were doing when they picked me to attend, as I ordered a GT4 driver, and GT3 wood on the spot hahaha.

Darius was a bit modest though, as he was part of the winning team in day 2's competition round! Well played, young man !

I hope we both do Stephen!

What I really hope is that Titleist Canada realizes that there is a lot of uptick in interest here in Canada in the Titleist Brand and product line - if one of the goals is to build a cadre of Team Titleist Canada enthusiasts and ambassadors, they should consider a system other than a "lottery draw". Having spent much time attending the US events, I think there are a few lessons learned which could be passed on for the Canadian events.

My two cents - and not just because my name wasn't drawn last year :-(

Note: just reviewing this thread I guess I am repeating myself a bit. That said, I truly feel there is the support nationally (and internationally depending on the venue) to entertain a larger field then we nave seen in the past couple of inaugural events.
