Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend the morning with Bob Vokey at the Titleist Oceanside facility dialing in my wedges through the Bob Vokey Hand Ground Experience. I wanted to send a special thanks to Mr, Vokey, Cliff and all of the Titleist staff I met at the Oceanside facility. This was an awesome experience and one that I will cherish for a long time. All of the folks at Titleist were awesome to deal with and the facility was top notch. Another awesome experience from Titleist! I have said it before, but I really appreciate the fact that Titleist enables regular guys like ourselves to have access to their top notch staff. I have never dealt with another company from a consumer perspective that really takes interest in, and time to engage, their customers the way Titleist does.
Meeting Bob Vokey was an awesome experience and working with him and Cliff throughout the morning to dial in my wedges was very special. The funny thing, after the fitting, I ended up with a M 60 and TVD-M 56 (bent to 55) which was my same setup going into the fitting. I guess if it ain't broke, you don't fix it! I also got a TVD-K 60 to have an option with a little different bounce because, according to Bob... bounce is your friend! We made a couple of modifications to the wedges (thin topline and pro groove) all in a raw finish with the typical stamping I include on my wedges from Wedgeworks, and I can't wait to get them in the bag!
