I'm a 13 handicap and thinking about getting some new irons, but was wondering if it is better to get some swing issues fixed before getting new clubs or just get fit and fix things later. I nearly always hit the ball in the center of the club (not toe/heel/thin issues) but occasionally hit the ball significantly fat.

I'm currently playing png Eye2s that i have had for 25 years (and are now 3 steps small per the png site) and was thinking about the AP2s.

Look forward to your thoughts. Club fitting is an entirely new thing for me.

    Hey Jeff,

Going through swing changes won't drastically change your fitting specs.  We do fit all levels of players and players who are currently taking lessons to improve their games.  You will still see a benefit by being fit.

One thing to consider is that a lot of our Club Fitters are PGA Professionals.  You could look to find one near you who could walk you through a fitting, while looking at your swing.  This way they could let you know directly if it is a good idea to hold off on a fitting.

    Hope this helps.
