  1. So what is your take on aftermarket adapters? I have a couple shafts that i want to try out but only have one adapter and I don't want to remove the original titleist adapter. I would like to swap them out on the range to get the best idea on which shaft is best for me.

My Titleist driver has a TM shaft with an after market Titleist adapter. I have had no problem. I just wish Titleist would make their adapter available to the public so I wouldn't have to use an after market shaft adapter.

What I've been told by my guys at a golf specialist shop is that the aftermarket adapter that is supposedly for Titleist does not work. What that meant was that the adapter will install on the shaft, and it will also hold on to the club when attached. However, the positioning of each setting isn't going to be the same as the "SureFit" tour hosel that is on your original shaft. I was shown a sample of the aftermarket. We can tell that the fit isn't quite set. So who knows what setting one is really set up for on the aftermarket product once installed after all the time and effort spent.
Stay with the originals- order a second shaft from your pro shop, and always go through a fitting process.
    Hope that helps.

Part of the issue is only being able to order a shaft from the custom options list. There are lots of shafts that don't make the list for various reasons that people want to use, but don't because they can't get the real adapter. If the adapters were available for order directly from Titleist, then I could be fit for a shaft that isn't on the custom options list and still have the piece of mind knowing that I'm using the real deal adapter.

My suggestion to you is to go buy a used Titleist club that has the same adapter and to have the shaft pulled. If you are looking for a Driver adapter I would suggest buying a 910F wood since is has the same adapter as all the Drivers (910D/913D/915D). If you are looking for a wood or hybrid adapter you have to be careful. The 910F adapters are different than the 913F/915F and the 910H are different from the 913H/915H. I have done this on multiple occasions. I have 4 driver shafts for my 915D and multiple shaft options for my 915F and 915H. In most cases, I have been able to sell the pulled shaft and the head (usually sold separately) for more than I paid for the cost of the entire used club. This is the best way to get a authentic Titleist Surefit. I hope this helps.

Using an aftermarket adapter also voids your Titleist Warrenty.

    Stay authentic.
