Should I use the same iron fitting adjustments for wedges?

    I'm in the process of replacing my entire bag. Everything in it is at least 20 years old at this point and I really didn't know what I was doing when I bought everything. This time, I am working with a fitter to ensure everything is just right.

    I recently did my first fitting for a new set of T100-S irons. The fitter set the lie at +2 degrees upright and -0.5" on the length. Is it even worth doing a wedge fitting or should I just use those same adjustments on any new wedges?

    100% do a separate wedge fitting. You aren't just fitting for length and lie, but most importantly, the bounce and grind.

    If you really want to be precise I would recommend the wedge fitting. It might result in a standard lie angle as people tend to lower their hands on bunker and lob shots. It might suggest a different shaft and most importantly, will ensure you get the best sole grind to match your swing and the conditions where you mostly play. If not, at least go Vokey. Enjoy the new sticks!

    I would think it's a good idea to do. They will help you get your gaps right with them. As lofts change with irons that makes the gap to wedges that much more important. They will help to get the most consistency out of your wedges to know your numbers. You may be surprised at what is suggested.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn't really considered the bounce angle and grind type. I think I will go ahead and do a wedge fitting as well. :)

    Haven’t had a wedge fitting, but vaguely remember a recommendation from my fitter at the time that I should consider a flatter lie for my wedges.
