i3 and r3 Weight Movement

  1. Getting conflicting direction on the moveable weight in i3 and r3. Does moving the weight toward the heel promote closing the face to counter a fade (conversely, moving it toward the toe counters a draw)? OR... is the weight meant to be moved more toward where on the face you tend to impact the ball most often? Example would be if you tend to make center-toe impact, the weight would be moved one click toward the toe to establish more weight and stability behind the place where you normally impact? These are clearly 2 different things. Anyone?

  2. Zero responses to this so far which makes me even more convinced that there is confusion with it.

Moving the weight towards the heel promotes closing the face more easily (potentially minimizing a fade tendency) and moving towards the toe does the opposite (potentially minimizing a draw tendency).

Heel weight= Draw biased and Toe weight = makes a driver fade biased, so yes heel weight helps correct a fade

    Hi Michael A,
Your question describes exactly the 2 ways that Titleist explained how to place the weight.
    First way
    - to counter a draw, place the weight on the toe, this is slowing the toe to close.
    - to counter a fade, do the opposite, place the weight in the heel, it will be easier to close the face.

    Now the other solution:
    Second way
    - if you not hitting the middle of the face, place the weight where you have a tendency to hit on the face. There will be more weight behind the point of impact and the feel should be more solid. It is also help to keep a better ball speed.

I hope this is more clear for you now,
    Best regards,
