  1. Hi - I was fit to a Hzrdus smoke yellow small batch 6.0 60g shaft at club champion for my tsi3 with mcc plus 4 grip at d7. Build says shaft was 45 inches.

I have an Accra tz6 m4 in my 3w and love the stability feel. I think that’s owed to the lower torque value for the shaft.

I found a used tz6 65 m4 and want to fit it to my tsi3. The shaft has a cally adapter and the grip is needing to get swapped out. The shaft looks to be a full inch longer than my Hzrdus smoke yellow so I’m thinking it needs to be cut down (from the butt end) but I’m not sure by how much to get it to play to d7. Especially since the smoke yellow is counter balance whereas the tz6 isn’t…any recommendations on how to go about this? Was going to take it to my local pga superstore for thoughts…

The short and perhaps best answer for the situation you described is to take the shaft/club and go to the PGASS you mentioned or a club builder that has the equipment to make the changes you seek. Pulling the cally adapter and replacing can be done rather easily if you have the proper tools. Changing grips is also quite simple, again if you have the tools. Same for cutting the shaft to length. But not having a swingweight machine will likely make getting the D7 swingweight impossible...

Not a big issue. Best to have a club fitter do the work. Don't cut the shaft until you swap the tip adaptors. Different manufacturers have different adaptor lengths and depths. Once you determine the desired playing length, you can swap the head weight to get the desired swing weight.
  4. A fitter or PGA shop can sort it out and would know of any issues you could face

Should be an easy thing to do with the right equipment
