Hybrid shaft tip trimming

    Hi,

    I have a 40,5” (total club length when assembled) Project X Even Flow blue 85 hy shaft that came with 818h1 18* hybrid. I’m thinking of using it with a 23* TS Hybrid head I have at 39,5”. How much should I tip trim the shaft?

    1" will do it- just be sure the tip trimming will still allow your desired final length- Total length is from the butt end (ungripped) through to the ground so this measuement could be different between the individual models

    ASSUMING Titleist tipped the recommended 0.5" when building the club for the 18 degree hybrid, you would want to tip between another 0.5" and 1.0" based on TT's recommendations.

    Go 1/2" and play it a few rounds to see how it works for you. Rumor has it that it is easier to go back and trim another half inch than it is to add a half inch.
