My local Titleist fitter that I’ve been working with for a while, Adam Lash, told me last week that fittings for the GT line can start on July 8th. He messaged me this AM to let me know that he had a spot for me on 7/11, excited to see what the numbers say.

I would not buy clubs from a 7/11.
  3. Does your fitter know when these clubs will be available or just when the fittings will begin? I just got fitted yesterday for some t200 irons and vokey wedges and was told fittings for pre order would be in July. I really want to get the gt line as my old woods and hybrids are no longer suitable for me and are hurting my game.

He said if the shafts are available at time of order, about a week, 10 days max.

    I'm so jealous.
I wish I had a fitter near me that had their schedule up for the GT.
  8. I'm booked in for my GT fitting on 8th July - but in Sydney so technically it's still the 7th in the states!

My Pro is getting fitted this Thursday. Excited to hear what he has to say about the difference between the TSR and GT. I purchased T Series Irons last year and there was an amazing difference in feel, speed and sound from the previous version of irons.

I just got off the phone with my cousin, they were doing a staff fitting at his club (TPC Boston) and they let him get in some swings with the GT3 and GT2, and he said the GT2 was amazing and is going back on 7/6 for his fitting.

That is exciting news about the GT series fittings being opened for scheduling.

Going to TPI this fall and plan on adding a GT fitting to my iron fitting.

  15. Hey all, just had my staff fitting for the new GT series today, and figured I’d add to the hype surrounding everything!

Played the TSR3 driver, TSR2+ 3 wood, and TSR3 5 wood for the past 2 years. Some of my favorite clubs I’ve ever owned. I went into the fitting with high hopes and mixed expectations. I know nowadays every brand is so optimized as far as their clubs and fitting process goes, but this was DIFFERENT.

I’m a scratch golfer who loves to tinker, but when I find a shaft I like, I stick with it. This has been the Ventus black 7x, and recently Tour AD VF 6X. I told the fitters I wanted to use my own shafts for my fittings as it was comfortable and I knew I would get reliable data.

Immediately saw a jump in ball speed, just by changing the head. Now, why I prefaced the shaft part; I am familiar with brands giving you longer shafts to push ball speed etc., but this was a shaft right out of my current gamer.

TSR3 ball speeds: averaging around 160
GT3 ball speeds: averaging around 165, crept north of 166 on occasion

To me, this was insane. Same shaft, new head, 5mph on average. Misses were faster, and STRAIGHTER. I’m not sure if I’m “allowed” just yet to discuss all of the tech, but when they talk about generational technology, believe the hype. The sound and feel are noticeably different and for the better. Not that the TSR series felt or sounded bad, but GT is MUCH better.

Side notes, the GT2 is totally reshaped and looks like a slightly larger TSR3. Much better shape, still has a bit of a left bias to it which is why I went with the GT3 as a predominantly draw player.

I should be getting mine in the next week or so and testing it on the course, but initial testing and fitting; best driver I’ve ever hit, and being a golf professional, I’ve hit a LOT!
  16. Scheduled for July 16th in Palos Verdes, CA. Looking forward to seeing what the gains are over the TSR3 10 degree, 16.5 degree and my 21 degree TSR2. I am loving all my Titleist clubs, especially my new SM10's. Still trying to dial in distances and it's cost me a couple strokes in some matches, but enjoying every moment of the process. Will post an update after my fitting on the 26th.

    Cheers,

    CJA

I have booked my fitting at Club Champion and the earliest they tell me for the GT is mid-August!!!!!! I really need to bring this driver to my September trip to St Andrews but it looks like there is no hope. I wonder why Club Champion is only getting it in August and not any earlier? Anyone have any inside knowledge on this delay?

This the general release date for retailers. What you are hearing about are specific invitations similar to seeding new releases of golf balls to drum up interest.
CC is not a favored Titleist retailer. Nor would DICK’s, etc. You might find a pro shop locally that may be starting earlier. Look up fitting locations on this website and check with Premier sites.
  19. My fitting is scheduled for July 24 and the waiting game is brutal! I'm excited to see what these bad boys can do.

I need to get my hands on the GT as well!! Titleist I'm ready for my GT fitting :)
  21. Just finished my fitting this morning with our Rep and his two area fitters. I'm coming from the TSR1 and I have an aftermarket AutoFlex Dream 7 in SF405.

We went through all heads, GT2, 3 and even the 4. Not that we expected the 4 to be a good fit for me but he wanted me to be able to see the difference in how each head performed even at my meager swing speed of 86 mph.

We spent most of the time in the GT2 and GT3 head and moved the weights a couple times in the GT3. Numbers were close in both, but in the end, we felt the GT2 was a bit more consistent especially in the spin deltas. Which were incredible, my spin variances were less than 80 RPM across the board, even with a few toe hits, which tends to be my miss.

The GT2 in the Denali Red 5.5 ended up being the closest shaft to my AF405. It equaled the ball speed of the AF a few times and was right there on total distance.

So I have the GT2 in 10.5 with the Denali Red 5.5 and the GT2 5 and 7 woods both with the Denali Red shafts as well on order.

Had my staff fitting today, very excited to get these woods in the bag. Went with GT3 driver, 3, and 5 wood. I’ll keep my current shafts in them, but getting the Tensei Black in the driver and HZRDUS Black Gen 5 in the fairway woods.
