Hello, I just went to the site to do the evaluation on the Titleist prototype balls. It said that I'd be asked to enter my Team Titleist username and password. I never was asked for that identification. Looks like the survey went through but how would you know it was me?
Thanks and I love those prototypes, I want to buy them now!

Just received my sleeve of test balls! Looks like the same dimple pattern as my usual ProV 1x's and I can't wait to test them out. This will be my second ball testing I have had the privilege to participate in so a big Thank You to Team Titleist!!!

1) I can't find the survey links.
If your prototype golf balls had black numbers, please use the following link:http://survey.titleist.com/s3/TitleistPrototype1
If your prototype golf balls had red numbers, please use the following link:http://survey.titleist.com/s3/TitleistPrototype2
Please do not take the survey until after you've had a chance to test the golf balls.
2) The survey didn't ask me for my email address and didn't require me to log in.
There was a misprint in some of the instructions that accompanied the test golf balls that indicated you would need your username and password. This is not the case. The survey should be accessible without any log in requirements.
3) What golf ball am I testing?
The golf balls that were sent out as part of the product test panel were part of our ongoing golf ball R&D process and were just test golf balls. As you can imagine, we are constantly developing prototype golf balls and through the evaluation process we review the feedback we receive to continue along the R&D path.
4) How do I get selected? Or why wasn't I selected this time around?
We make every effort to include as many Team Titleist members as possible in these opportunities, but as you can imagine, we unfortunately are not able to include everyone in every test panel.
As for the selection process, all Team Titleist members are considered when we have opportunities like this but the final selection will vary depending on the test panel.
Also, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to these Team Titleist opportunities.
I hope this helps clear things up for everyone. Thanks again!

Hi Paul,

I'm one of the lucky ones whose testing the new prototype. It flew straight off the driver and 3 wood. It was responsive when hitting a fairway wood off the deck and it was much improved around the green. Team Titleis, if you have any ideas on the survey website?

Hello Mike,
I found the posted link about 5 minutes after posting my request. I really enjoyed the opportunity to try the prototype. I found it to be straighter off the tee when using the driver. It launched lower when I used the 3 wood off the tee. It flew longer as well. What really sold me was an 80 yard shot from a flyer lie into a small and difficult par 5. It's one of the few times I've reached this hole in regulation. It requires 3 very good and precise shots. The 80 yard shot stopped quickly on the green and set up a 12 to 15 foot birdie put. Unfortunately I missed the putt. I'm sold. Thanks Team Titleist.

Thanks for the update and thanks for helping us out. Glad to hear you enjoyed the testing process (sorry to hear you missed the putt).

Hi I just wanted to note that I know the first batch of prototype balls went out a few weeks ago and I notice people are still receiving them. Is there any chance I would still get them, as I feel that I have participated in team titleist quite a lot. Another question is for the ones who have recieved them, we're you notified about recieving them prior to actually getting them? We're you told by email you would receive them?
I really hope to still be able to try them out.
Respectfully, Manuel M.

In terms of receiving the test golf balls, we did not send any advance notice to potential participants. Thanks again and we appreciate your understanding.

Michael,
Received the balls to test ,thank you. I completed the test and survey and was wondering if there is a blog or a discussion page that has a summary of the responses? I realize that the number of responses are a large number but, I would like to see other comments to compare with what I experienced.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
There are a number of active threads in the discussion boards right now where others have commented on their experiences. Sharing your experiences and feedback with other members in those threads is probably your best bet. We typically do not post any survey results for our test panels. Thanks for helping us out!
Best,

I just wanted to say I love being on the survey for the test balls. But, living in Northern Ohio it will be very difficult this time of year to give an accurate test on these balls. I would receommend to try to get this test balls out earlier in the year at least for us northern folk. I would love to test these balls and compare to my current balls but we all know if you are "rusty" or have not played for awhile you will not be able to get a accurate reading. In mid-august it would be greart to receive these. This would help me for sure be able to give a better test

I got sleeve of new Pro V's red they are great they have a lower ball flight. Don't know how they would spin on the greens. The cover is more durable than current Pro V's. Playing in South Dakota today the temp was only 60 degrees, it would be nice how they would play in warmer temp's. When and where can I buy these balls!!!!

amongst day 2 of the power outage (thanks sandy...), i finally got around to checking the mail and lo and behold, there was a small package from the acushnet company. hmm...a sleeve of test golf balls with a black 1. a bright spot in a rather dreary last couple of days. of course what i've gone through is nothing compared to those in jersey and new york. thoughts go out to them.
now if the weather will cooperate, maybe i can go and lose some of the test balls underneath all the leaves that have fallen off the trees :)

Got the Test balls with red numbers. Can't wait to test this weekend. Thank you Titleist for involving the public in your golf ball test.
Has anyone tested the red number ball yet? Anyone have any feedback on it yet that I should keep in mind. Gonna try my best to not pay attention to wether I am hitting Test ball or current pro v1x until after I've hit multiple shots. Really excited for a true "blind test"

Love the balls, but can not find survey. Help

I have tried to log into the survey with no luck. After playing the ball a couple of time I found that it flys about 3-5 yard further with the driver and long irons. Around the green it is very similar to the ProV1, it did feel like it was a little softer on the green when putting.

I received a sleeve of prototype balls about a month ago and finally got a chance to fully test them. At first I was skeptical as this was a new "undisclosed" product. I found I really did like the ball, playing in weather in the high 50's-low 60's. I found the ball flew further off the tee than my regular ball (Pro V1 and Callaway Tour i). The ball also feels great off the putter face, however I wasn't extremely happy with short shots as it didn't seem to check up the way the other balls do. I did find that the cover resisted scuff marks and held up really well after an entire round. I going to try it again tomorrow.

The Prototype1 golf ball performed great. The first time I hit the ball it reminded me of the days when I played the balata balls. The feel was extremely soft and the ball jumped off the club face. It appears very durable as there was not a blemish on the ball after playing a full 9 holes with it. Driver was marginally longer but the biggest difference came from the short irons where I gained an average of 7 to 10 yards. I can't wait to play this ball in 2013.

I have a question about some comments on the durability of the prototype test balls. What are the problems that a few have encountered? Are there scuffs, nicks, separation of something else.
I ask because I played a Type1 for 90 holes just to see what would happen. Other than knocking the shine off I experienced no durability issues. I was just curious as to what others were experiencing.

I was sent a test sleeve to try out. My pro v1 and the test ball played about the same. I just am having hard time getting onto the survey site

My Thanks to Titleist for including me in this testing of what I hope is the new Pro v1. I have a 25 handicap and saw better results with the test ball than the current Pro v1 and other brands of balls as well.
Off of the tee the magic number was 11. With my 910d2 driver the new ball was consistantly 11 yards longer. With my 3 wood, the new ball was consistantly 11 yards longer. The joke among my partners was that I just cound not count higher than 11.
With my irons, the new ball was even longer and stayed on the greens better. However, when I would hit it with the sweet spot, it launched like you can't believe. I cleared several greens with the new ball, after hitting the green with another ball.
My putting also improved with the new ball. Putts felt more crisp coming off of the putter and rolled into the hole more often than the current Pro v1 or any other brand. I was in the process of trying several brands of balls that people have suggested when the "test" sleeve arrived. I did play nine holes using only the test ball, I felt more confident in my game after that round and was several strokes better than my normal score. I saw no improvement with other brands that I have been trying. Unfortunately I have lost all three of the test balls.
I cannot wait until I can purchase the new ball, replacing all of the balls in my bag.
My Thanks once again for allowing me this experience, I hope my feedback was helpful.

Just played with the Titleist "test" ball (Prototype #2 red number) and had a friend play along with me. I currently play the ProV1X. The only noticeable difference we found was the durability of the new ball. The "test" ball felt softer off of wedge shots and preformed slightly better as far as spin and control, but the cover was CHEWED up by the end of the round. The ball had the distance of the ProV1X and the feel of the ProV1, just wish it was more durable. Had a blast playing with them, thanks Titleist!

Test Balls You Sent Me
I played the 3 Test Balls you sent me alongside a ProV1X.
The TEst ball did not hold well on the greens as well as ProV1X.
It was however very lively off the clubface.
I would not replace my ProV1X with it though - does not hold green well.
Thanks

Recently was sent a sleeve of Pro V's to test and report on. Ball was fantastic in all phases of my game. When will that ball be available? Am putting of putting balls on my xmas list in hopes they'll be released soon.

Craig,
Thank you for your interest in the survey. We have not published the survey yet for this year's white box testing. The link you saw in this thread was from last year and is, in fact, no longer "open" for responses.
Again, thank you for the passion and please stay tuned, we'll have the survey published shortly.
Joe

Joe – Thank you for the response. However, you may have misunderstood my question. I was not asking about the results of the survey, I was asking for the link to where I should fill out the survey for the test balls I received. I just received yesterday a sleeve of test balls. The paper enclosed with the balls asked that I test them on the course (which I intend to do this weekend), and then fill out a survey with my opinion on the balls. However, there was no information included for the link to the survey that I am to complete. I was asking for that link. Thank you. LAST YEAR I RECEIVED TEST BALLS AND REPORTED BACK MY OPINIONS.
UNFORTUNATELY I NEVER FOUND OUT WHAT BALL I TESTED.
THIS YEAR I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY TEST BALLS BUT AM WONDERING IF SOMEHOW WE COULD FIND OUT WHAT GOLF BALL WE TESTED?
HOPE THIS ISN'T A REDUNDANT QUESTION, BUT I AM WONDERING.

In the past they have sent me a sleeve of the balls I tested. However, I can recall at times waiting what seemed like forever to get them.
