distance of nxt tour vs. nxt tour s

    I am deciding on whether i want to get some nxt tour balls or nxt tour s balls.  i like the idea of a better feel and more spin on the nxt tour s but i dont want to lose much distance on my shots.  can anyone tell me if the distance difference is just a couple of yards or a noticeable difference?

    Corbin,  I have found that the distance between the nxt tour and tour s is only a few yards.  I am using the 910D driver w/setting B2.  The tour s has been straighter for me because of the softer compression.  I like the action it has on the greens, even in this Texas heat with firm greens, the ball is stopping a few feet from the ball mark.   Shot my first 78 with the optic yellow tour s.  I plan to continue using the tour s to see if it is really doing the job for me.

    Corbin,

    The difference of distance of the tee is negligible "all Titleist balls are long". The NXT Tour S feels softer but does not spin more than the NXT Tour.

    The key is to take both model out on the course and do a side by side comparison.

    There is not a better test that on the course!

    I tested the NXT vs NXT-S and found the only real difference was feel. I prefer the softer S model. Distance off woods and irons was so close it was a wash. However off the wedges and putter I felt more confident and prefered the sound the softer ball makes.

    From what I under understand the S stands for Soft not Spin.

    Ive switched to the NXT S from the Pro V1 .
