I am a vision impaired golfer with a 4 handicap and i play with the Pro V1x because it is the best performing ball for my game. I have a color blind to yellow and white well i cant see it after it leaves my tee but i have come to realize i can see my moms bright pink golf ball amazingly well at least amazing for a visually impaired golfer (: .....so i was wondering if there was anyway to put in a request for some different colored high performance balls and not the rock hard yellows.

We had this debate in another previous topic.  Most people were for the colored bright optic yellow golf ball.  In the end Mike (THe manager) came in and said that there wasn't any plan in producing colored ProV1's or ProV1x's.

All i have to say is that just stinks...... The optic yellow is cool and all but doesn't work for a person that is yellow blind........ I guess thats fine ill find another manufacturer that might at least listen to some kind of reasoning.

    Scott,

Did you know you can dye golf balls to almost any color using fabric dye such as RIT?  I have tested the Pro V1 and really like how the orange comes out.  I haven't found any negative performance issue as a result of the dye and still play to a 1 handicap.  I enclosed a link to the instructions below.  Hope this helps.

Awesome ill have to go and check out the link and see if it could work for me. If there is no loss of performance then ill try it cause  the colored balls out there are not high performance. Thank you very much.

Great thought - Andrew is right - I used to dye my shag bag practice balls pink so that I could practice on our short game area with ProV's and not be worried about getting them mixed with everyone else's practice balls.

I know this is going to sound very weird and girly but the color i see the best is actually bright pink. I have too many issues with the color yellow.

Heck, go with what works for you!  I got a dozen pink ones (another brand) through a charitable outing for breast cancer.  I didn't think twice about using them.

Exactly!  Go with what works for you.  If you perfer the the feel of the ProV's, definetly try the dying because as far as i know, it doesn't effect the performance of the ball.

I play a Pro V 1 (recent convert from srxn Z-Star).  I would LOVE to have a yellow Pro V-1
