  1. I am a female that hits the ball hard.  I have been using a noodle ball but my husband tells me I should use a titleist ball as he feels it would improve my game.  If so what kind of ball should I use?

Depends on what you're looking for and what price range you want to be in, but ProV1 and ProV1x are obviously good choices. Next in line would be NXT Tour and then the DT Solo. I wouldn't bother with Velocity unless you don't have any concerns about short game spin.

  3. thanks for the info

    Carla,

I have yet to see anyone that doesn't benefit from the ProV1 or ProV1x. Regardless of swing speed, length of the tee, etc, this ball performs around the greens and that is where most of us gain (or lose) the most strokes.

If price point is an issue, then the DT SoLo or NXT Tour are solid options as well. You may try playing two different balls the next time you play and doing a comparison.

  5. thanks for the info.  I will buy the prov1 this week.

Carla you probably do not want to hear this but your husband is right.Play any Titleist golf ball and you are playing with the best ball in golf hands down.

What you are looking for in a ball and price point are two big keys.   I like the ProV line, but sometimes I will use the NXT ball, so I can save a few dollars.  And keep some ProV balls around for tournaments and such.  Good luck, hope you find just the right golf ball.

    Carla,

It's always hard to recommend a ball to someone when you've never seen them play.  I play the Pro V1x and it works very well for me, but that doesn't mean it will work best for you.  Personally, I say do some research and testing before you dive in.  My recommendation would be for you to review the ball information available here on the Titleist website to see which one, or two, you think may work best for you.  Then purchase a sleeve of each and play a round or two with both to see how they work for you on the course.  I think this is truly the best method to find the right ball for you.

Best of luck with selecting a new ball!!
