I am just about 80 years old, in a couple of months. My swing speed is obviously pretty slow. I have been using the Velocity for the last several months. I found I liked it a lot more than the Solo. How does the Trusoft compare to the Velocity?

I played the Tru Soft DT today in the very early sunrise hours for 18 holes
1. GREAT distance
2. Irons 1/2 club longer
3. Driver about the same
4. Great durability - hit a few trees and out of 1 bunker and not even a scratch.
5. Not as good greenside for me
All compared to Pro V1

I have played the TruSoft for one round so far. A few things about it really impressed me. It seemed just as long or longer than the NXT Tour I usually play. Had it bounce on a cart path off a driver shot. Normally this would put a deep scuff but the TruSoft had only a black mark that I washed off at a ball cleaner. Greenside spin I saw no difference between the two but I do not usually have much spin so others who do might have noticed a difference. Overall, great distance, great durability, great ball. Can't be beat for the price as well.

You won't be disappointed with the "trusoft" .It's like the Velocity on steroids. Good ball.

The TruSoft is the replacement for the SoLo, and has a very very soft feel, while still being a primarily 'distance' ball for slower swing speeds. You didn't say -why- you preferred the Velocity over the SoLo, but if that's the case, you might not like the TruSoft. I do prefer the feel of the TruSoft over the Velocity, especially around the greens and on those 'half-shots' with wedges.
TruSoft is a great ball for the price, and heading into colder weather, you might like the feel vs. Velocity. Let us know what you think if you get a chance to try one for a round.

Have played two rounds with one of the new balls. I normally play a Prov1. I like the ball and will purchase a dozen for this winter. Reliable, good distance and checks up nicely of the greens. Rolls well on slow greens. Am a Prov1 fan and will stick with it as my number one ball but can honestly say this is a good back up ball. Not as long as a Prov1 but good distance. I have hit the Velocity and much better ball.
