  1. I recently bought 3 dozen Pro V1's online and was wondering if anyone can tell my what the difference is between the "Silver and Orange/Gold" and the "Black and Orange/Gold"  I also noticed that the pro v1 on the side didn't have the  periods/dots on the aiming line like some other pro v1's. Can anyone please help with this question would very much appreciated!

Jason - sounds like you purchased an older generation of Titleist Pro V1.  The current Pro V1 packaging can be seen here:  http://www.titleist.com/golfballs/Prov1.aspx

  3. Thanks for the the information, another question is, how big of a difference is there between the older generation and the new generation? Is there a way to find out when they were made by any of the markings on the box?

Previous generation was introduced in 2007 and current generation was firs launched in 2009.  Here's a link to the 2007 Pro V1 golf balls:

  6. Thanks very man kind sir, I kind of figured they were an older model after seeing all the proshops now carry the black/gold boxes thanks for this link. From what it seems there isn't a huge difference just that the older Generation seems to have a softer cover causing it to cut a little easier.  I am kind of curious as to what the MSRP for the older generation should be or is it the same as the newer ones?

You may want to go to ebay and look at their selection of golf balls.  I don't think many pro shops still carry the 2007 model so you best bet is to compare pricing of a AAAA ball there.  They may be able to guide you also to some shops that sell resale balls who may have some of the 2007 model.

The 2007 should be a lower price point than 2009, but retailers do set their own price within our pricing policies.
