Titleist Test Balls

    I played with the new Titleist test balls this week.  The first thing I noticed was the balls spin a lot more on the greens than the Pro V1.  They have a great soft feel when chipping and pitching.  They also have a softer feel than the Pro V1 when putting.  I also noticed than had more spin when hitting 150 yard shots.  I did not feel the test balls where longer with irons or the driver.  I noticed that the paint held up better than the Pro V1.  That would be a great improvement.

    I also played the test balls this week.  I was impressed with the feel of shots from 150 yards in.  The balls had a soft feel on those shots.  I did notice a slight difference in yards off the tee with the driver (approx 5 yds may have been due to a fuller turn I was working on) compared to the Pro vi.  The test balls held the trajectory line very well into the wind.  Soft feel when putting.
