Are these balls conforming and approved for USGA play?  If I do the evaluation and find I like them, can I use the remaining balls in competition?

    Gary:

While these prototype golf balls stamped "Test" are USGA conforming, they have not been submitted to the USGA for listing on the Conforming Ball List.  Because they do not appear on the Conforming Ball List, please do not not use these prototypes in any tournament play.

Since i have recieved my sleeve of Balls, I shot a 72, 73, and 74. Then on top of all this, On the second round I may be the 1st person who got a Ace with the TEST Ball. A 158 yard par 3 hole.  Obviously I am sold on these balls. Testing these was alot of fun and appreciate Team Titleist for sending them to me.

I just finished the test last week and was impressed with the ball.  Seemed pretty durable and yet had good feel and stopped well.  Only thing I did not like was the way it putted.  Felt kinda hard compared to the Pro V1.  The ball may actually suit my game better than the Pro V1, really tough to be compared to best ball of all time.

I have tested the new Test balls that were sent to me and find the well worth the game, and test. Used the test ball against a ProV1, the Test

ball, seemed to be softer feeling, slightly better control and softer feeling putting.  The around the green feel seemed a little more foregiving

and back spin a little easier.  Noted out of the sand the cover on the test ball was better and did not skuff as easy.  In looking at the balls the

dimples in the Test ball seem a little larger and found driver and iron flight was staighter, and more acurate as well.   I have drives 10-yrard too

20-yard longer with the test ball as well..    If i had to pick a name for the ball, it would be  PRO V CONTROL   Was very impressed and would be

very interested in the difference in the make up and constructiion difference in the two balls.   Should also be noted that Played two rounds with

the test balls, and the pro v1, and experienced good results on both round, and same comparison as well.

I have had the same problem as you. Everytime I try to go to the website, it tells me the site is not constructed. However, I have also tested the balls and found them to be very good. They seem longer off the tee and putt very well. I don't find them to be any longer with the irons, but they do seem to be more stable in the wind.

did the test the other day and shot 36 played really well.  The ball seemed to react better on my drives compared to the other PROV1 I played with.  Also had better feel with the putter.  Would love to see this ball in next years rotation.

  18. It looks like there are many different opinions on the new "test" ball. I think that it'd be neat if Titleist posted the results, etc.. We may never know if it's going to go in to production.

I was able to get a round in last week with the test ball and thought the ball performed very well.  The cover seemed a bit more durable than the ProV1. Distance off the driver was slightly longer and trajectory control and feel with the irons was great.  The test ball performed extremely well in windy conditions. I've been playing the ProV1 & ProV1x for years and would say the Test ball certainly compares well.  Thanks Titleist for the chance to test and hope to see this one out on the market soon.

I was able to play the test ball against my regular ball a proV and it was very similar in feel and distance.  The test ball putted better than the proV.  The test ball did seem to have a bit more spin around the greens.

Thank you Titleist for letting me try the test ball.
