I have been playing with the prototype balls Titleist send me and i cant get enough of them. There is something about them that works great for my game. Off the t they are similar as the ProV1x that I normaly play, but my short game and green play seems to have taken a HUGE step forward with these balls. Did anyone else notice their short game and putting get significantly better with the Prototype balls?

Same  experience exactly. When I  filled out the  survey  my  remarks were  they had the  low spin  of the  V1x  off the tee  but  better stopping  on the  green like the V1.  The  only issue I  noted  was the cover   seemed to get scuffed up realy fast. Within  9  holes it  looked like a ball that  had  been played 2-3  rounds.

I love the feel that they have on and around the green.  I didn't get any more distance or acuracy out of them, but they have a better feel.

LOVED the new ball. I play the Pro V1x and the prototype ball seemed to have a more boring trajectory than the current one. I definitely felt like it was a touch longer off the tee. Also, on full iron shots into the green, the new ball definitely had more spin. I didn't notice that much of a difference around the green and with the putter. The new ball is also much more durable (didn't shred the cover).

I too found the ball to be similar to the ProV1x off the tee. I'm glad that I am not the only one who found them to be amazing with a short iron/wedge. Full shots and half/three quarter swings from 140 yds. in were unbelievable. I found the distance to be about 8yds. further and the stopping power was great. Not too much and not too little. It was just right for my swing.

I didn't find much difference in long irons, hybrids, or woods. I did see a remarkable difference from my 9 iron down. The mid irons seemed about the same as the ProV1x, but with more bite.

The ball seemed to roll very true every time and hugged the grass well.

I'm glad I was chosen to test these amazing golf balls and hope to purchase more in the near future. Maybe then I will let my buddies try them...

yes and no.. the balls were extremely soft.. but the cover scuffed really bad.   which has always been my issue with prov1's...

For me the ball was longer off the tee, seemed to have a little higher trajectory, and spun less off the short irons & wedges.  I felt the ball was alittle firmer as well, almost clicked off the putter and chips around the green.  I also noticed the dimple pattern was very different than the current pro v1x, but overall I liked the ball very much.  I am defintely looking forward to when it is released to the public.

I didn't care for the ball over the current ProV1. I recently played 2 rounds with the current V1x, and I guess they are about the same.

I played the new protoype balls and found it had a louder sound off the driver as well as a lower ball flight.  I did not notice increase or decrease in left or right spin.  I was hitting the ball about 10 yards further off the tee.  I did not notice any difference off the irons for ball flight or sound and my best wedge shots stopped within 6 feet of impact and the not so good ones about 9 feet.  The green conditions were soft. Chip shots and pitch shots had more run out, and the ball seemed a little harder off the putter head.  The cover remained white and even though I hit a "few" less then perfect shots the cover held up well.  Overall, it was a very playable ball.

I felt as though the ball was coming off the club face a lot hotter then both the V1 and the V1x. I have only had the chance to play one round with the ball so far but from what i have experience i really like it. Will post more after next round :)

Loved them. Cover is much more durable. I got 72 holes out of one of them and it still looked pretty good. Normally I get 18 out of a ProV1x.

I have played the prototype ball and it was phenominal.  Best perfroming in windy conditions.  There was less spin and more distance.  Around the greens and putting was a big improvement from the current ball.  I scored better with the new balls and can not wait for them to be released.
