Hey lil brother check this out, yesterday was golfing with a couple of friends, and on the 6th hole which was a dog-leg left, hit one on the left side of the fairway leaving me no shot to the green,so took out a p-wedge and hit to 140 yards out.The ball hit the fairway on the first bounce, the second bounce hit the rough and what appeared to be a mid-sized dog "ran" out and grabbed the ball, upon getting closer we realized this was a Golden Eagle. We walked right up to it to see it playing with the ball, tossing it up with it's beak, grabbing it with it's claw and again tossing it in the air.this went on for an amazing 5 minutes,as Cris lit a smoke as we approached the eagle, when it was done he simply stated "I don't think he's gonna give the ball back I think you should hit another one.
The ball is toast",so I was talking with the eagle the whole time and the other guys kinda stood a little further back than me,I dropped another ball and hit it on the green,as the ball flew on the green the eagle saw the shot and ball bounce on the green he immediately flew off the stump he was playing on with the ball and flew to the green picking up the other ball for just a second then dropping both where they lay,ten feet from the hole, pin high on a sloped green. He then flew to a log twenty feet from the green heading to the next hole and proceeded to watch us play out the hole.
I ran up to the ball and picked it up to find there wasn't a scratch on the ball after he was playing with it.I said to Cris this ball is still in play, this is amazing. He said no way!! I said yes it is,we'll check with the club pro when we're done. This was my second shot,on a par 5 hole,I made the putt for an "eagle",YES !!!
The eagle had what we all guessed to be 8 foot wing span when he spread his wings-out.When we told the pro,Jeff Wiggins he asked did the ball stop before the eagle grabbed it.We said no,then he said the ball is still in play. The whole time I was talking with the eagle and thanking him for the blessings he was given me,the other guys left toward the next green and I stayed with the eagle again thanking him for the experience, wishing him many blessings and good life for him.I called this into the local radio station and they recorded the conversation and played it on the air as this co-incided with a story that morning. I also sent this information to Titleist, thinking they would love the story.
Just thought I should share this with you,Take care lil brother.
