Why does it say the V1X spins more than the V1 in the Golf Digest Spin Charts?

    You must be looking at an old mag.

    Since the beginning of the ProV1x it had more short game spin than the ProV1, and according to the Golf Mag tests it had more spin in all aspects of the game. Until that article everyone thought I was crazy because that is exactly opposite of how they were billed.

    Starting with 2009-2010 models they had the same short game stopping power and the ProV1 had more spin off full swing which got us slower swingers more distance.

    Now that you know that the ball you are using is one of the spinniest full swing balls made, do you think it is time for a lesson to find out why your ball is not stopping on the green?

    First off, it is the 2011 May Edition, second off I've been going 7 weeks to the best teacher in Ohio, (ranked by Golf Digest) Mr. Bourne. I just have a little trouble putting enough spin on it for it to stop hence my problem. I hit long and somewhat straight but not spinny which is why I wanted to the use the Pro V1 in the first place.

    Hi Domenico,

    Here is a good reference chart on the spin characteristics of the family of Titleist golf balls. As you will see the Pro V1 is going to spin a bit more with shots throughout the bag versus the Pro V1x.
