    hi TT,

I usually play with the new Pro V1 - I've had my lowest score with that ball, a 79 a few weeks ago.

Today I played a round with the new Pro V1X and I noticed that my iron shots into the greens had more spin on them, and my short game shots had more spin as well.  Is this possible, considering that the ProV1X is supposed to spin less than the ProV1?

    Thanks,

    Jason

Probably a case of the receptiveness of the greens. After a good rain I can stop an NXT where it hits from full swing.

With normal green conditions I make a ProV1 dance around and ends up where it hit, V1x stops within a few ft.

    Hi Quintin,

That could very well be the case - I didn't think of that aspect of this.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Hi Jason,

the other thing to consider is that the new Pro V1x is engineered to fly a little higher now.

I have been a Pro V1 user for years but recently tried the new Pro V1x and found it to stop on a dime.

I've found it to be half a club longer than the Pro V1 too.

    Hey Mark,

That could be the case as well but I didn't notice a higher ball flight during this round.  In fact I hit a few knock down shots that flew with a mid trajectory into some greens and the Pro V1X just hit and stopped within a few feet - my Pro V1 usually hits and stops about 5-7 feet away.

Anyway - I'll try both balls again and see - I think it's a good idea to play a whole round when trying both balls, so you can really get an idea of what works and what doesn't.  In the end I don't think anyone could go wrong playing either one of them.

    Cheers,

    Jason
