  1. Hi Guys,

I bought a new TS3 driver last week to replace my 917D3. During my first round yesterday I noticed a dent in the crown on the toe side. I don't know how it happened and the crown is "ultra thin" for sure. My question is - does this affect the performance of the driver? I hit it pretty well yesterday. I'm not someone who's bothered by a little scratch and dent on equipment so long as it performs. Plus I got it on discount with the new models arriving.

PS - love Titleist equipment. This is my sixth Titleist driver.

    Thanks,

    BC

Hey man, i am no engineer so you can take this is just opinion. I have a ts2 and i use a carry bag with no stand. I leaned er up against a tree one early October day and it fell and it appears to be a slight dent on the top from landing a long iron. Its not huge, but it is noticeable.

At first i got really worried, how would this impact performance and would i be able to look at it and all that. Was already looking online for a new one from the fairway!!

Turned out it didn't matter one bit, I hit some really good tee shots the remainder of the season. I was extremely confident in the club and it appeared to be no loss in performance from the dent.
  3. Thanks. It sucks to get a dent in the first week but as long as it doesn't affect performance I can live with it. Looking forward to many great tee shots...

Yeah, i completely understand. Its definitely not what you want. You got a good club though, hit some bombs!!
  5. Titleist will cover that under warranty if you bring it to a local golf shop and you can get a new replacement for it. I had that happen on my TS4 and actually got a TSi3 for it under warranty. Think I had to bring the club and proof of original purchase within 1 year.
  6. I had a very slight dent way out on the toe of my TS3. I had the same concerns about performance but cannot say it impacted anything. I feel like if it were on the weld between the face and the crown, you might have an issue OR if it were directly behind the sweet spot. I wouldn't worry about it....
