After upgrading clubs, I am interested in the MCC Plus4 Align grips. My question is for those that have used these, how do they do with wedges? Mainly a 58/60 that is used to open the club face around the greens? I wonder if the “Align” ridge will feel uncomfortable unless the face is square.

That's the main reason I never tried the Align version of the MCC. I open up my lob and sand wedges different amounts for a wide variety of shot types. Consequently, I've always been afraid the Align strip would bother me. I have been a longtime user of the regular New Decade MCC midsize. Being a feel player, I don't really get the need for Align. For me, if it ain't broke, no need to fix it.

I’m not dead set on the Align. I don’t think I “need” help aligning the club, but I’ve heard they are helpful. Luckily, the midsize Plus 4 Align and regular come in gray, so the set would still match.
  4. I have the Golf Pride align grips on all my clubs and with the lob wedges, it doesn't bother me. Sometimes I feel it helps because I know if the line is of my grip is off. I like them a lot for my clubs, Golf Pride has the best grips in golf.
  5. I play the MCC Align grip on all irons and woods, except for my 58*. I chose to use the regular MCC on the 58* so that I could manipulate the face without worrying about the spine on the grip.

I agree with Doug. I tried the Align on my woods, but it really didn't feel right and went back to the standard MCC grips. I would imiagine that with wedges, it woudl really through me off given the number of angles of attack and degrees of openness I play with them. To me, it would "feel" like it woudl limit my options as a feel player around the greens.
