  1. Hi everyone need a little advice I am currently playing the ap1 710 irons steel stiff shaft and the faces are a bit worn now have had them for 10 years so I am looking to upgrade.I know the best way to go about this is to get fitted unfortunately I don’t have the time to do so my current HCP is a 22 I hit my 8 iron consistently between 145 to 150 am I better off going t300 or t200 irons any thoughts or opinions would be great thanks for the help.

I suggested you should look at the T300 in your other posting. In my case, I had the AP3 (..now closest to the T200) as I was having a good day at the fitting and the AP3 did as well as the 718 AP1. I tried the new T-series and went through the T200, T300, and T400. I let the fitter drive the selection At age 70, the T400 gave me the best response. Although the T400 7 iron is about the same loft of the T300 5 iron, I clearly hit that better. And I still can't hit a iron with a loft of lower than 25 degrees with enough gap over the 25 degree. Be it a 4 iron T300 or 6 iron T400, I need a hybrid at that point.

The point being is that I didn't worry about the number on the end of the club in finding a solution. Not that a T400 would be needed for anyone that can hit a 34 degree club 140+ yards, but find the combination that works for you, especially on a 10 year replacement cycle.
