  1. I’m a 15 hcp and was fitted at Club Champion and I’m torn between T300 and T400. Much higher spin with T300 but carry distance between the 2 were similar. I’m 63 and swing the 6i at 78mph, so the fitter also suggested I add weight to the heads to make them D3.5.

Does this sound right and can weight be added to the heads after I bought the irons? I’m leaning toward the T300’s.

I'd go with the fitter's recommendations. T300 seems like a better fit for your handicap.... too little spin and you may not be able to hold a green with your mid to long irons. You can always alter swingweight after the fact, but easiest to do from the factory.

If you can't decide, suggest you play around with lead tape and see how it effects your results. If you like it you can keep the lead tape on or have a golf shop add weight in the shaft.

Dale V is absolutely right. Try the tape and see what works best. If you are into club work, weigh the tape and get weights that will fit into the shafts. Get weights that have a bore through configuration or else you can have a hard time getting the heads back on the shafts.

But best of all is find out what is appropriate and send them back to Titleist.
