Hey guys,
All my years of golf I have struggled on hitting a wood off the ground. Off the tee I'm alright. But for whatever reason, when it comes to hitting off the ground, I just can't do it. I either top it or chunk it bad.
I ordered a T200 Utility 3 Iron because I can hit my irons pretty solidly, and for those long par 5 second shots. Hoping I could have a 3 wood in the bag that I can have confidence in hitting.
I currently am using a X-Stiff shaft in my driver and a Stiff shaft in my 3 wood (originally had a stiff shaft in my driver but got a free x-stiff shaft from a friend). I'm not sure if that could have anything to do with it? I plan on getting the TSr when they come out. A Driver and 3 wood that both have X-Stiff shafts, the driver with 65g and the 3 wood with 75g. I was told that you want a heavier shaft for the 3 wood. Is that true???
