TS2 Driver Failing?

  1. Have what seems like a unique failure occurring on my TS2 Driver. I noticed yesterday that on the top of my club, the reflection of the sky looked odd. Upon further inspection, I can feel a slight ridge or bump on the top of the club, directly behind the aiming indicator, that runs the length of the face. Like the face is starting to push back into the club head and causing it to bulge. Not a crack, but it definitely may be affecting the launch angles and spin. Attached a photo, it’s hard to capture but you can see how there is a “point” to the reflection with the sun glare and it’s not normal looking (or feeling).

Took it to my pro and he definitely said I wasn’t seeing things, but told me since I was fitted and purchased the club from Club Champion in 2020, I’d have to try and get it replaced that route. Reading things here and there, it looks like A) CC would have me go through Titleist and B) as it is right at 2 years old, I’ll be SOL for replacement.

Sound right? Anyone else ever see this occur?

Correct. If you did not purchase direct from Titleist, the purchase tracking and any warranty would be through the authorized dealer (Club Champion in this case). They will work back through Titleist. Normal warranty is 12 months and the TS model has been superseded by TSi and soon will be again with TSr. These modern drivers (all brands) are so thin to get maximum distance that they do seem to occasionally have some cracking or bulging issues when hit high on the face or with hard range balls. Sorry to hear this has happened to you and hope you have better results with your next one.
