Hi, I know that Titleist use Team Titleist to assist in the R&D of golf balls as I have had the privilege of doing about 5 years ago, but do they also use members to test and review new drivers, irons or Wedges.

No, not really. They might take a select few and allow them “ behind the curtain” during the development but not the way they create Proto balls and send out to a large population. They do listen to feedback from both professionals and amateurs on what works and doesn’t work with current models and incorporate those comments into future designs.

If they did, it'd be guys locally around the R/D facilities. I know a few Tour guys that see new "proto" type irons before anyone else, but a majority of the testing is mechanical, the old "iron Byron" style machines. Would be fun to see though, my buddy has stood behind the mechanical machine at TM, watched them adjust it, just shakes his head at the consistency.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy a set of clubs from a company that used somone like me for research and development.
