  1. Hi Titleist,

I was fitted for clubs 5 weeks ago and ordered a new 14 club set. My TS2Rdriver, Scotty Cameron, and three Vockey wedges arrived in 5 days but the irons did not show up for another 3 weeks after being told there was a two week lead time. When the T200 irons showed up, 4 weeks after being ordered, they arrived with the incorrect shafts and have been informed it would be an additional 2 weeks to receive the correct, remaining clubs of this new set. What is causing these delays and how are entire sets leaving the production facility with the improper shafts? Are there any quality controls to mitigate these types of mistakes? Unfortunately I don’t have an order number for you as these were purchased through the local pro shop but this seems out of character for a brand like Titleist.

First, your post gives no indication of your point of origin. There are 5 assembly plants around the world. I can only speak to the one in Carlsbad CA as to how they assemble clubs as I have toured that facility a couple of times. The club build process is computer controlled with extensive checks. The only way a build can be incorrect is by the person making the original order, typing the specifications wrong on the build sheet. If you ordered through a local pro or fitter, the mix up had to happen when they entered in your order. If your local pro is blaming Titleist for the error, they are just trying to save the embarrassment for ordering incorrectly. Sorry this happened to you and hope you have many good rounds of golf when you get your corrected order.

Did the packing list components match the shafts built? If not, that would be on Titleist. Otherwise it would be a communication issue from shop to Titleist.

The entire build process is driven by barcode scans. Right down to head weight and weights used to adjust swing weight along with the recorded loft and lie measurements. There is little left to human error. Not impossible, but as close to a minuscule error rate as possible. Should you need a replacement during the 2 year cycle, your new 6 iron will be built to the same spec as your original.

Having had a plant tour in Carlsbad, each set is built one set at a time, with scans at each step. Even the stock sets going to retail outlets are built one set at a time. They aren’t made as bunches of 4 irons, then 5 irons to be put in bins to be pulled later to box

I am not sure why and how but it happened to me. I ordered combo set of CB and MB with +1 stronger. After I waited for many months, Titleist send me club with +2 stronger with an extra grip wrap. I was tire of dealing with T customer rep and waiting for months without knowing when so I traded them. I hope that no one will have this kind of experience again.

As to not having an order number, you pro shop has that and could have checked on that for you by calling titleist direct. Sorry you having so much trouble. I would check with the proshop, as Dale mentioned. Sounds like the issue could be there. Ask to see the order.

Since it was online order, I double checked the order history if I made a mistake but I didn't. It was T mistakes but it's okay. I moved on.

Well, they decided not to upload my reply. It is shameful and sad to see how they are trying cover up for their mistakes.
