  1. Okay, I’m old school and old, now. Formerly +1 now 3.2 Index at 70 years old. Swing speed approx. 98 mph.

With all the science at your finger tips, is it possible to develop a smaller headed driver? The size of the current Drivers look as though it would be harder to release- subconsciously at least. They are even harder to hit off the deck..

Yeah, I know, physics is at work with the new heads providing forgiveness and my idea is heresy. The size I have in mind is the size of today’s 3 wood.

Well, there has to be a market. PM and Callie tried that. Didn’t budge the needle. TM has/had one over the last couple of years. Not much splash about that. Unless the USGA goes to an alternate attack on distance and chops a couple of hundred cc’s from the driver head, it will be just as likely as a bi-directional Bull’s Eye putter to be released.

That said, there is the TSR-2+ that is an oversized 3W. Having a relative loft of a 3W, you wouldn’t use an upward angle of attack.

They do offer a TSR2+ at 13 degrees which will give you the smaller head size and a little more loft for forgiveness. You will also be able to hit it from a good lie in the fairway. Even very few pros are carrying the TSR4 at 430cc so I don't think there will be enough traction to build and sell drivers at the head size of the old PT Pro Trajectory or anything less than 400cc. My take on it anyway.
