I was fitted for the GT 21 degree 7 wood, and I know if fills the gap between my TSr 21 degree hybrid and my GT 16.5 degree 4 wood. That is all great. I still have a stigma in the back of my mind about using a 7 wood. Just wondering if anyone else has accepted that Father Time is catching up with them. Since it is already ordered, I am sure I will be fine with it once it arrives, just a little bit of a wakeup call...

It's not just for your grandfather anymore. It is showing up in many pro's bags. They like it launches higher and holds greens better than an iron for those 220+ shots for a second shot on par 5's.

Not to minimize I added one to gap with a 23 hybrid. Although I'm as old a Father Time.

I am curious about one thing... what is the distance that this gap fills for you? I have a gap from my 4w to my 3i which sounds like the same exact place in your bag. I struggle between 215-220 and 260... I don't have that club in my bag.

I have my GT fitting on Monday morning and excited to see what we come up with because I did talk with my fitter and he mentioned the 7w...

Well guys, they just call them fairway woods now. No 3,4,5,7 labels so you can relax with just the degree tab on the headcover and not feel like you are joining AARP with us dinosaurs. Go with what fills your gaps and enjoy the technology.

This one will fill the gap between 195 and 220. I am coming around, excited about holding greens from 200 out!

It depends on your swing style...sounds like it should but you will only know after testing. they are close together and the shaft also makes a difference (low vs high launching for instance).

    IMHO, Good Luck!
  7. 7 Woods have started to show up a lot more in Tour players bags, guys like Max Homa and Ludvig Aberg play them. It’s a great club to hit off the tee at a limited yardage and amazing to attack longer par 4’s and short par 5’s. I just recently put one in my bag and I can’t say i’ve had a more reliable wood in my bag in a long time.
