  1. Went with the t200 4 iron instead of the cb and not loving it. It looks huge compared to the cb/mb’s and flies like crazy. Does anyone use a t100s for their 4 iron? Looking at ordering one but I feel like I’ll eventually cave and just buy a CB to match my set.

The point of a mixed set is to produce consistent launch characteristics across each club. Is the T200 producing too steep of launch/descent or too wide of distance gap from your 5 iron? That information from your 7-6-5 CB’s and the T200 will guide you to replace the T200 if the flight characteristics are not ideal. We can’t really correctly advise you whether the 4I CB is the best choice or not.
To note, the T150 in the 2023 release is the replacement for the T100s.
  3. Thanks for the reply Don, a guy needs a reminder of what he’s actually trying to accomplish once in a while!
I’ve been exploring the T series but should likely quit wasting my time and grab a CB 4 iron and play what I know works for me. I’d rather sacrifice distance for consistency and accuracy any day I just like trying new things and thought the t200 would be a good fit and just add a few yards. It’s not automatic like the old cb’s and mb’s are though. It’s a missile launcher off the tee but that’s not really what I need in my bag.
  4. Consider getting a 4 hybrid with a heavier, stiff shaft, problem solved.

In my bag is a T200 9 iron (38.5 loft) and I have a T100S 9 iron (40 loft) as a spare. Both have AMT R300 shafts. The T200 feel is much better and it actually gets 5 yards more vs my 695MB 8 iron (which has Project X 6.0). I have a 714CB 8 iron with S200 shaft and it goes slightly further vs the T200 but I'll have to bump the lie angle slightly since I have a bit more draw than I would like. The T200 does have a high ball flight and I can pick it reasonable well.

The T100s is the same size as the T100, the top line looking down at address is actually thinner than the 620 CB. It is 2° stronger at 22° so you'll have to check your gapping. If you weaken the T100s to 24° it will practically have zero offset.

The T200 is a rocket launcher, even though the lofts are the same as the T100s, it's a lot longer.

I'd look to see If you can keep the ball speed and launch up on the T100 4 iron. If so, the T100s may not be necessary. You want your 4i to be 5mph faster ball speed than your 5i.
  7. Ordered a T100 and have been trying some different shafts in it. The 2023 model feels much better than the previous model. Gap fits well and a little more forgiveness so hopefully I can flight it on the course. Thanks for the input everybody.
