So the kid and I were at the range a couple of weeks ago. I was hitting my TSR2 7 wood when I noticed it sounded strange - it looked like I gouged the clear coat. Of course, my 12 year old - who apparently knows everything (can you hear my eye roll?) - was convinced the face was cracked. Well, we went to the local PGA Tour Superstore afterwards to see what they thought. The manager took the head and had me fill out a form - said he'd either mail the head or take pictures and send them to Titleist.

Fast forward to yesterday - I got a call from the store saying that my TSR was back. So I figured Titleist didn't find anything wrong (as I suspected). Go in tonight and the manager hands me the head and a brand new headcover - that confused me...why would Titleist send back my head with a new headcover? I turned the headcover over and it was then that I realized that Titleist sent a brand new GT2 head.

I immediately attached my old shaft and went to the practice bay. I don't know what it is, but the GT2 seems so much easier to hit than the TSR2. And I suspect when I dial in my swing and as it gets warmer outside, the GT2 be 10-15 yds longer than the old head.

I never expected to use the warranty, and didn't know what to expect if I did. I figured at best to get a NOS TSR head, but be handed a GT2??? But how about that for customer service! Guess I need to replace my 3 wood and driver now also :)
