Believe it or not, i've heard putting them in a dishwasher does the trick... I haven't tried it but will probably do it when the season is over. I do have one hat that's filthy but it's my good luck hat :)

I would look into that but not a 100% positive it work...

I put mine in the dishwasher, without any dishes. Run it through the wash and rinse cycle and take it out before the dry cycle. Just hang it up to dry and it should end up nice and clean. Works for me every time.

    Buy a new one! :D

Sweat stains are a pain. I just use a little bristle brush (3"-4" long, about 1" wide and about 1" high). Wet the area affected no matter where on the hat, apply a little soap or liquid detergent to the brush and scrub away for a little. Rinse and dry.
  5. I would soak your hat in a small bucket with some detergent...works like a champ for me! Also extends the life of your hat...

With a solution of warm water and white vinegar. Let the hat soak for about an hour or so. Rinse off and air dry. When its dry and clean, then spray your hat with something like a water repellant/silicone spray (Camp Dry Spray or Scotch Guard, etc.) and it helps repel the sweat stains afterwards. In future, just spray your new hats with the spray before wearing and it works like a charm!
  7. Spay it with a bleach based disinfectant spray

Go to your local golf store and buy one of those plastic hat frames that you put your hat in and wash it in the dishwasher. It will not hurt to use a stain stick on the sweat stains before you wash it. Let it dry and it should be like new.

I've found a bucket of warm water, a scoop of Oxi-Clean (the real stuff not store brands), stir, and let sit for about an hour works best. Take it out, rinse with the the hose and when it dries it will be sparkling clean.

    What he said . . .

Or, use stain remover and put the cap in the washing machine (maybe with your golf shirts/short/pants); air dry.

Wear it into shower and get some of the hat spray at the local golf store.

Have been doing this for years. I always spray on Shout and scrub it in where the stain is more concentrated. The black caps and visors are more difficult and sometimes the stain just does not come out. Top rack only. I let the caps/visors go through the complete cycle, take them out and let them finish drying on towels on top of our washer/dryer for a day or two. I never put them in the sun to dry. Have never used the hat frames and they still hold their shape. Depends on how you place them in the washer.

I use a light detergent spray, warm water and an old tooth brush. Does the trick for me. Never thought about the dishwasher!

I've tried hand washing, The dish washer, but what has worked best for me is to wash them in the front loader wash machine. I just put it in a garment bag and wash with like color clothing on gental cycle. The key is front loader. This ruined them in a top loader. To much water..But don't let it sit in there after its done get it out asap or the bill will be deformed.. Hope this helps. Todd

Shout is a great remedy for the white hats! Or, simply wear it in the shower then put some shampoo on the inside of the hat and let the shower suds it up and viola! #CleanWhiteTitleistHat
