    Good day all,

I have been using the Players glove for a couple of years now and certainly like it, but I was wondering if it is the best glove for me. I seem to wear through them fairly quickly, but I do love the feel. I know it is subjective, but does anybody else like a different glove better? When ai was growing up, I would always buy the Footjoy Sta-softâ€Ķ

Always good to start a new glove thread!

I have found that the StaSof glove feels best to me. I do use the Titleist Players glove when I can't get a StaSof.

I have been playing with the Perma-Soft Titleist Glove and have been getting fairly long life and not wearing out.

I am a big fan of FJ's StaSof glove, however, I have also used the Titleist Players glove.

Footjoy StaSof gloves have been my choice, can’t fault them.
Love the feel and durability in all weathers.

I have used the Players glove for many years. After a 10-year layoff from playing, starting again this year these have still held up. I have not found a glove better for me.
  9. I’ve been using them for the last 3 years and I love them but as you say they are a little easy to chafe! If you use a cord grip change them because they’ll rip up a gloveâ€Ķ

I use both the Titleist Players and FJ StaSof. For me, I consider both to be very good. The StaSof does last longer for me than the Players. In the summer months, I will rotate through 2 gloves during my round to allow time for the moisture to dry up. Also, I always take my glove off after my shot.

Each glove has its pros and cons and it really is a personal choice. If you want to increase the life of your gloves, buy 3 and rotate them every 6 holes on the course. I have been doing this over the past several years and I can attest that it really helps extend life.

Agree with your post, I’ve been buying the FJ Weather Soft and I find it to be the most durable glove out there. Plus, it’s less expensive than most other FJ gloves. I buy the two pack and rotate them each round but I think I’ll take your advice and rotate them every 6 holes. Good stuff!

I never take my gloves off during my rounds. I wear FJ Hyperflex of StaSof and when it is summer I go with the Tropical Cool, which when wet maintain good grip. The Hyperflex is a newer glove and I tend to use it more.
The Tropical Cool will get dirty but can be washed in the washing machine and I can get a full season out of one glove.

In doing golf events I find that 50%+ of golfers who try on gloves get ones that are too large for them. This is the main reason that they wear out quicker. There is a quarter inch rule when trying on a new glove. One must remember that gloves stretch and after about three wearing's they will be too large. I am going to post a site from FJ on the correct fitting of a golf glove it will apply to you getting a better fit glove and better lasting gloves. Click on Glove fitting FAQs when you get to this site. It will help you extend the life of your glove on either brand. "Both are great gloves". If you want a thinner glove Titleist is for you, if you want a softer glove FJ is what you should get.

Been using FootJoy RainGrip gloves year round. Superb in wet weather as well as hot humid weather. I'm getting 2 years from 1 glove, used for range sessions and play. Amazing durability and grip.

I love the fit and feel of the Players glove. I order six at a time and they last me all year. I play 75 rounds a year and change them probably sooner than I have to butâ€Ķâ€Ķâ€Ķ.oh, nothing like a new glove to start your round!

In the heat and humidity of SE Texas, nothing I've found beats the TropiCool, from FJ. In cooler weather, I go with the StaSof or the Spectrum gloves, with an occasional FJ Custom glove thrown in when I find one I like, or have course credit to use up. As Chuck said, the newer HyperFLex glove from FJ is also a good warm, humid weather glove.

Like you I've used the Titleist Players glove for years, they're not cheap but better than others for fit and feel. I but mine from a local pro shop and buy multiples to get a better price.
I've tried others and there's nothing wrong with the FJ CabrettaSof or Stasof.
I always try on the gloves before I buy them and pick the best fit, although they're all the same size they do vary. I've gone through the full batch to get the best fitting.

  21. I play both the Players and the Perma Soft.

The FootJoy Pure Touch is my go to. I like the Sta-Sof as well if I can't find the Pure Touch. I generally buy a couple Pure Touch at a time to stock up.
